Animating Legs

i can animate the hell out of the face. but, ive never really been all that great at animating legs, honest. its something about those damn knees popping that just rubs me the wrong way. so i was happy to get this weeks assignment so i can brush up on my skills. were animating a walk cycle right now, but just blocking, not polished. the final version will be handed in next week. movie coming soon.

here are some poses ive done for AM. we had to pose a character to convey a certain emotion. sounds easy enough, but when you think about it, its kinda tricky. especially because the character we're using doesnt have a face.

Meet and Greet

yesterday i got to meet with some of the students at AM and have drinks with them. it was pretty nice to put faces to just names you see everyday. the night was topped off with me meeting the co-founder of AM, Carlos Baena. it was great to finally meet and talk about animation and Pixar with him. hopefully ill have a lot more expierences like that.
